In 2021 Instagram took a step and announced that they would introduce the option of blocking a person and any other account they create on Instagram. Now, this feature is modified and it has been announced that the user can also delete any more backup accounts of a person if it exists on the platform.

So, from now onwards when anyone disturbs you, block the person’s account or any backup account the person already has.

There are two other changes that are added to the Instagram safety features. They are hidden words and nudges. These features were available in the past but now they have been modified for the users.

Hidden words are a feature on Instagram that helps the user to hide messages, posts, and comments that have offensive words in them. Instagram will be Adding New Nudges. Nudges are notifications that usually pop up and pause and allow the user to think about the action they would like to take. A user will be given a chance to pause and think about how they will respond to a certain comment or message. And Instagram will analyze whether it is offensive or not.

A DM-specific nudge will also be included where the user will be reminded to be respectful before sending DMs to creators.
