Once you reach Rule 17 of the Password game, players will be presented with an egg to safeguard in the text box named Paul in the password game. Even if you’re curious or tempted, DO NOT REMOVE Paul because doing so will end the game, and you’ll have to restart from the beginning. If Paul is deleted or if you fail to follow the rules in time, this message will appear, “Paul Has Been Slain.”
How to Save Paul in The Password Game | Keep Paul Alive
Once you beat the hard chess game in Rule 16 of the password game, the game challenges you even more. Once you’re introduced to Paul in the password game, you need to protect it from whatever calamities the next rules bring. Below is everything to do to save Paul in the password game.

1. How to Save Paul From the Fire
Rule 17 introduces you to Paul in the Password Game, a chicken who hasn’t hatched yet but needs saving. As you move through the next rules: Rules 19 and 20, you will be asked to bold all vowels in your password (rule 19) and put out the fire engulfing your password (rule 20).
Tip: Copy and save your password somewhere so you can paste it later and not lose progress.
BUT BEWARE, once you bold all vowels in your password, a quick fire will try to engulf Paul. To prevent this from happening, quickly remove the fire by eliminating all fire emojis to save Paul from being slain.
Hopefully, Paul survived the fire and can move to rule 24. It’s more fun than you’d think, even though the frustration level increases by a bit.
2. How to Not Let Paul Starve
Once you save Paul from the flames, the most adorable chicken hatches.
Rule 25 in the password game introduces a new challenge; you have to add the URL of a long YouTube video with a certain duration. How do you find such a video, you ask? Simply head to YouTube and use the filters to set your preferred duration.
You right not always find a video of the exact duration, but here’s what helped me: Use ctrl + F (or command + F) to search for the number you’re looking for like I did here:
Now that you have Paul and the video, you need to make sure that you feed him properly so he doesn’t starve. Starve here means there were no worms left in the password to feed Paul.
For this, feed him 3 worms every minute for the rest of the game. If you don’t, Paul will starve, and you’ll get the annoying popup saying Paul Has Been Slain.
3. How to Not Overfeed Paul
Although it’s very important to feed Paul in time, it’s just as important to refrain from overfeeding the poor birdie. So it’s important that you do not feed Paul more than you’re instructed to because that will also slay Paul.
To make sure you don’t overfeed Paul in the Password game, pay close attention to the password box and make sure there aren’t four or more worms.
