Could the Roblox Class Action Lawsuit be the final nail in the coffin? For those of you who don’t know, many attorneys filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of parents seeking compensation for the “deceptive and unfair conduct” of Roblox towards children while demanding an end to their wicked ways.

Roblox is one of the biggest gaming platforms among children aged 9 to 12. About 75 percent of children are hooked on various Roblox games, and that too only in the US. With a large number of children on the Platform, the new Roblox Class Action Lawsuit is nothing less than a disaster. It’s more or less equivalent to your toxic ex showing up at your wedding; she might leave eventually, but not without making a scene.

Robux is the name of the digital currency that you can use only in Roblox to buy different experiences and in-game purchases. Not only that, but you can even transfer this digital currency to your friends across Roblox.

“The loyalty of millions of children turned Roblox into a wild success during a time when many other similar businesses have suffered and/or failed. Roblox systematically takes advantage of them and exposes them to unsafe, unregulated, and grotesque virtual experiences. It is also designed to harm children with addictive conduct and deceptive commercial advertising,”

The children of Raymond and Laura Noel made them spend thousands of dollars on Robux digital currency before they could say enough is enough. And that’s just one family; many parents are ecstatic about the Roblox class action lawsuit.

Attorneys at Bullock Ward Mansion, Jennie Lee Anderson, states that Roblox illegally gains revenue from children’s labor. By allowing younglings to purchase items and create their own games, they are making sure that these children are spending more time on the platform.

The families impacted by video game addiction and the illegal exploitation of their children have been supportive of the new Roblox class action lawsuit and even banned their children from playing games on Roblox.

For the experiences that monetize, the majority are created by developers who are over 18 years old. We also maintain community standards, key features, and educational materials to promote safety and civility on our platform for our developer and user communities.”

When asked if parents should be concerned about allowing their children to access Roblox, he said,

“We have a safety-first culture at Roblox and work tirelessly to promote safety, civility, and a welcoming environment for all on our platform. We have a robust set of safety features specifically to protect the younger members of our community, including a strict set of Community Standards enforced by a combination of proactive content moderation and community reporting. We also offer a suite of parental controls that can be used to limit or turn off chat completely, restrict what experiences children can access, and how much they can spend.”

Despite all these claims from the representative, The Roblox Class Action Lawsuit still claims the opposite and demands reparations from Roblox for their Actions. 

This is not the first lawsuit that was filed against Roblox, but they managed to settle the previous one.
