1. Access the Social Screen
To join your friends in the game, you have to access the Social screen through two methods. In the Royal Lounge Hub, communicate with the Social prompt on the pedestal close to the downstairs pool. Then, open the Pause Menu and choose the Social option.
2. Invite To Group Action
On the Social screen, you will get to see your Friend List, which will help you figure out who all are currently playing the game. The crossplay feature of Foamstars allows excellent connections between PS5 and PS4 players. Select a friend from the Friend List, then go ahead and use the Invite to Group option. Once you’re done with that, your friends will join your Current Group list. You will have the option to invite three friends, and when needed, you can remove them as well by selecting the proper action or Disband Group to end the party.

To play Foamstars in multiplayer mode, start by finishing the tutorial when you launch the game. Once you’re on top of the hotel in the Lounge Hub Zone, go upstairs to look for a helicopter on the other side of the swimming pool. Move towards the helicopter and press Circle at the “Versus” prompt.
In the Versus menu, select a game mode you’ve unlocked, like Smash the Star, which is basically a typical 4v4 team deathmatch mode. After you choose a mode, matchmaking will initiate. As an alternative, you can also opt for a Private Party if you wish to set up a custom match or enter an existing private room.
2. Co-op Mode
For team-based play in Foamstars’ co-op mode, try to use the touchpad in the hotel to select a Mission and then go for Squad Mission from the pop-up menu. Make sure you pick Squad Mission, not the Foamstar Mission, as the latter is a solo mission.
To co-op with unknown players, keep the Auto-Matching option on and choose Normal or Hard to proceed with the mission.
