Before you can unlock Old Naxxramas, you need to have previously unlocked Old Scholomance. If you haven’t done so already, follow this guide to unlock the dungeon.
If you already completed the Argent Dawn content in Vanilla WoW, chances are you already possess an Argent Dawn Commission. In that case, head back to either Chillwind Camp or the Bulwark, and recreate your Argent Dawn Commission in World of Warcraft. Alternatively, if you stored one in your bank, retrieve it and equip it.
For those who lack an Argent Dawn Commission due to not playing during that time, proceed to Rattlegore and defeat him. Near the first bone pile on your left, you’ll find a lootable item called the Cracked Argent Dawn Commission. By combining 1 Righteous Orb and 4 Truesteel Bars (available for purchase on the Auction House), you can repair the commission.
Once you have your Argent Dawn Commission equipped, confront Darkmaster Gandling and eliminate him. When equipped, he will drop Darkmaster’s Scourgestone, which unlocks the Darkmaster’s Scourgestone quest. Take the quest and turn it into Duke Nicholas Zverenhoff, located in Light’s Hope Chapel in the Plaguelands. This will grant you the ability to farm Scourgestones once again, just like in the vanilla version of World of Warcraft.

Additionally, you will receive the Sleight of Hand debuff, which grants you a five-minute window to make your way to the Undead Side of Stratholme. Reach the gate located to the left of the Necropolis, where Lord Aurius Rivendare awaits.
Eliminate Lord Aurius Rivendare to open the gate. If you manage to defeat him within the time limit, a Hand of Naxxramas NPC will appear. Utilize your Argent Dawn Commission to dispel this presence and proceed to the next step.
