Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: Elite Four

Welcome to Pokemon! This is the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Elite Four guide to beating the Elite Four & the Champion. In this blog, I’ll guide you on how to defeat the Elite four in Pokemon Scarlet And Violet.

Beating the previously Best Pokemon games, Pokemon Scarlet & Violet has quickly gathered a huge fanbase. It uniquely offers players three plotlines to follow and complete in any order they want.

But the Victory Road questline leads to the traditional Pokemon endgame if that’s what you’re after. After beating eight gyms, trainers compete against the Elite 4 and the region champion to achieve the rank of the champion.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: Elite Four | How to Defeat the Elite?

This Elite Four is filled with Pokemon members you’ve already met when you progressed through the game. But before you can fight the Elite Four, you must take a test answering questions about your journey.

You will move on to battle Elite Four if Rika finds the answers to be correct. Remember that The Elite Four can only be fought once in this game, as opposed to prior Pokémon games.

Answers to The Interview With Rika

You can only succeed in this interview with Rika if you pick the right responses. So to pass, here are the answers to Rika’s questions in the interview in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet:

  • I walked
  • Narnja Academy (Scarlet) / Uva Academy (Violet)
  • I came to become a champion
  • I want to find treasure.
  • Medali Gym
  • Larry
  • Normal
  • Choose your own starter Pokémon here!
  • I want to find treasure

1. Elite Four: Rika

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Elite Four

Rika may be the first member of the Elite Four you face, but he won’t be easy. If your team is at Level 66 or higher before starting this battle, there are higher chances of you winning.

Rika focuses on Ground-type Pokémon, so the final evolutions of Quaxly or Sprigatito can be very effective here.

At any rate, it would be helpful to have at least one Grass and one Water-type on your team. Vaporeon, Palafin, and Gyarados are excellent choices for quickly taking everyone on Rika’s team down.

Remember that Clodsire knows Poison attacks, which will hurt Grass-types pretty badly, so pull any Grass-types out at the end.

2. Elite Four: Poppy

Poppy is a very challenging opponent, so you’ll want your Pokémon to be around Level 67 or higher to beat her. Poppy will have more steel-type Pokemons. But note that she can be defeated rather smoothly if you have a good Fire-type Pokemon on your side.

So pull out an excellent fire-type Pokemon if you have it, and let it shoot through all Pokemons here. Other fantastic picks are Pyroar or Ceruledge.

3. Elite Four: Larry

You’ll remember Larry from your previous Gym fight. If you want your team to win, it has to be at Level 67 or higher for this time. Larry might have been a Gym Leader with Normal-type Pokemons, but his direction as a member of the Elite Four shifts to Flying-type.

If you have a Pokémon with strong Ice-type attacks, you will get a long way during this fight. Some excellent choices are Baxcalibur, Glaceon, and Beartic.

4. Elite Four: Hassel

By the time you get to Hassel, you’ll hopefully be at Level 67 or higher, as you’ve defeated the rest of the Elite at this point. It’ll make things go much smoother for you.

Tip: You’ll want to keep the Ice-type Pokémon that you used with Larry for this next battle too.

Make sure it has an Ice Tera-type Pokemon set to keep Baxcalibur from getting destroyed by Dragon-type attacks. If you want to win this battle, you might also want to consider Beartic, Cetitan, or Glaceon again!
