Quiet Weather To End The Year
Rain is out, but the totals were impressive. 2-4″ rainfall for the area. A record wet Christmas Day for TF Green (2.66″). Concern for tonight, colder temps by morning. Upper 20s and low 30s. Anything wet, may be icy in the morning. Clearing by daybreak. And though the rain may have stopped, the rivers still rise! Flood Warnings for the Pawtuxet River at Cranston and Wood River at Hope Valley until further notice. Both rivers will reach minor flood stage by morning.
Flooding affected traffic on I-95 South near Jefferson Blvd., on Friday morning, forcing traffic down to one lane.
Saturday, sunny and cold. Low to mid 30s. Saturday night, clear and cold Low to mid 20s.
Sunday, sunny and cold. Mid to upper 30s. Sunday night, cloudy. Around 30°.
Monday, mostly cloudy with a few late-day rain showers. 40s to near 50°. Monday night, partly cloudy. Around 30°.
Tuesday and Wednesday, sunny and cold. High tempos in the 30s, overnight lows in the 20s.
Thursday and Friday, (New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day) a chance of rain. High temps in the 50s.
