It was about time! It has been two and a half years since the Game of Throne series ended. It still seems like yesterday when the whole world united over the hatred for the final episode of the long series. Now, HBO is all ready to get the viewers to watch the spin-off of the series they grew hating. GOT prequel House of The Dragon is the spin-off that will be on our screen very soon.
There are so many questions and speculations as to what is going to happen. Don’t worry and sit back because we have some answers for you. HBO released the trailer of House of The Dragon on October 5, 2021. The trailer has made people wonder and left them intrigued.
After watching the trailer a hundred times, I have a few things to say! But before that let’s understand what the story is going to be.
GoT Spin-off House Of The Dragon: What’s the Story?
“Centuries before the events of A Game of Thrones, House Targaryen — the only family of dragonlords to survive the Doom of Valyria — took up residence on Dragonstone,” according to the book’s description on the author’s site. “Fire & Blood begins their tale with the legendary Aegon the Conqueror, creator of the Iron Throne, and goes on to recount the generations of Targaryens who fought to hold that iconic seat, all the way up to the civil war that nearly tore their dynasty apart.”
Set 200 years before the events of its predecessor, the series will chronicle the beginning of the end for the reign of House Targaryen, culminating in civil war. In addition to co-creators George R.R. Martin and Ryan J. Condal, Miguel Sapochnik—who filmed some of the most eye-popping, complicated battles on Game of Thrones—will serve as co-showrunner and direct the pilot and several other episodes. The series began filming in April.
The House of the Dragon is set 200 years before the events of Game of Throne. The whole story revolves around the story of House Targaryen and the Targaryen civil war; which was also known as the “Dance of Dragons.”
HBO has confirmed that the upcoming series will have 10 episodes. The series will be, however, launched in 2022. The excitement regarding the release is extreme. After just a day of release, the trailer has become the talk of the year.
Featuring sweeping coastline shots, jousting tournaments, feast scenes, and of course plenty of battles, the teaser offers fans the chance to see some of the forthcoming series.
Matt Smith can be seen in the role of Daemon Targaryen. During the trailer, we could hear his voice, saying, “Gods…kings…fire…and blood. Dreams didn’t make us kings. Dragons did.“
That said, it’s impossible to come away from the House of the Dragon trailer without realizing that this is going to be big. HBO couldn’t have bigger expectations for it. When this show comes out, the whole world will be talking about it. And hopefully not because they can’t see what’s going on.
House Of The Dragon Release Date
