FARGO — The North Dakota State men’s basketball team will have to wait a couple extra days to open the regular season.
The University of Milwaukee men’s basketball team, which the Bison were slated to play in the season opener Friday, Nov. 27, is putting sports on hold due to a positive COVID-19 test in its Tier 1 group, the team announced Saturday, Nov. 21. Milwaukee was to host the MKE Classic next weekend. NDSU was scheduled to play Milwaukee on Friday and Southern Mississippi on Saturday.
As of Saturday evening, the Bison are slated to open the season Sunday, Nov. 29, against Loyola Marymount in Minneapolis, followed by a matchup with the University of Minnesota on Monday, Nov. 30.
