Bones Hyland shooting the lights out as VCU leads Dayton at halftime in A-10 Tournament

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — VCU continues to hold strong to a double-digit lead over Dayton in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic 10 Tournament at the VCU Siegel Center.

The Rams lead the Flyers 49-33 with 11:47 remaining in regulation. VCU led 37-26 at halftime. Bones Hyland, who scored 22 first half points for VCU, left the game with an apparent injury. Hyland made 9 out of 15 from the floor, including three 3-pointers. Adrian Baldwin Jr. and Hason Ward have stepped up for the Rams, scoring 8 points apeice. Jamir Watkins has added 7 points for VCU.

Dayton’s shooting continues to go cold, having made just two of their last 11 shot attempts.

Jalen Crutcher continues to lead all Dayton scorers with 11 points.
