How Is YouTube Premium Lite Tier Different From YouTube Premium?
As its name suggests, Lite is a toned-down version of the original YouTube Premium. Just like its Premium compatriot, the YouTube Premium Lite plan will let users stream content ad-free on the platform.

However, that’s the point where the two Premium plans draw a line among their similarities. Premium Lite doesn’t support other Premium subscription features like the background playback which allows you to continue listening to the video even when switching to another app.
There’s also no support for offline downloads and the YouTube Music benefits such as ad-free listening. While there’s not much, you can still check out the YouTube Premium Lite Page to see certain FAQs regarding the same and to find out if the cheap tier plan is available in your region or not.
