Titans to honor Nashville, first responders with helmet decal

After the recent bombing in Nashville on Christmas Day, the Tennessee Titans are set to honor the city and first responders with a decal on their helmets for the Week 17 contest against the Houston Texans.

The decal, which is a sticker that will be placed on the back of the players’ helmets, reads “615 Strong” and has the six colored in Titans blue to honor the six first responders responsible for clearing the area before the bomb went off, according to Jim Wyatt of Titans Online.

The names of the Nashville Metro Police officers who were quickly on the scene: Brenna Hosey, Tyler Luellen, Michael Sipos, Amanda Topping, James Wells and Sergeant Timothy Miller.

Led by linebacker Will Compton, Titans players recently took to Twitter to raise money for those people and businesses who were impacted by the bombing. The organization has also made a donation to help out.
