This doctor is searching for ‘disease x’ — a deadly virus that hasn’t hit us yet

Professor Jean-Jacques Muyembe Tamfum, who discovered the Ebola virus in 1976, has been busy searching for potential viruses that could spell the end of humanity, according to CNN.

  • “We are now in a world where new pathogens will come out,” Muyembe told CNN. “And that’s what constitutes a threat for humanity.”
