A stormy low pressure is creating gusty winds and heavy snowfall beginning on the night between Thursday and Friday.
On Friday, as much as 5 to 10 centimeters of swirling snow could pile up in coastal areas, according to the Finnish Meteorological Institute.
During the day, driving weather is going to be bad in whole southern Finland, where temperatures are going to stay between 0 and minus 5 degrees Celsius.
Heavy snowfall (and high speed) caused several accidents on Tuesday. Tens of vehicles from trucks to passenger cars were involved in a rear-end collision that cut off traffic on Finnish national road 1 for hours.
