On 29 June 2022, Snapchat introduced the Snapchat+ subscription. This is going to be a monthly premium subscription. It is priced at $3.99/month. This subscription plan will unlock exclusive features. The users of the plus plan will also get to experience the pre-release features.
Snapchat seems to be following the footsteps of other social media platforms that have recently rolled out subscription services. In 2021, Twitter rolled out the Blue Subscription for ad-free access for $2.99/month. In June 2022, Telegram also rolled out a Premium subscription.

What Features will Snapchat+ Offer?
Snapchat is introducing a new plus service. All the new features of this subscription have not been disclosed. Here are some of the new features that will be introduced on Snapchat+.
- Users can pin a friend as BFF.
- Users can view who re-watched their story.
- Users can change the icon of the app.
- Users will get to test all the pre-release features.
As of now, Snapchat has only disclosed these features. However, what we are dying to know is whether Snapchat+ would be ad-free. Snapchat makes a major chunk of its revenue through ads, apart from selling hardware and Pixy drones. So, in the near future, we don’t think Snapchat will let the plus subscription be ad-free.

Snapchat is launching a new plus subscription. However, it will not available worldwide as of now. The countries where Snapchat will be launching the Snapchat+ subscription are:

- Canada
- United Kingdom
- France
- Germany
- Australia
- New Zealand
- Saudi Arabia
- United Arab Emirates
If the subscription plan becomes a success in these countries, then Snapchat may also introduce it in other countries.
