Realme Flash Design
Realme revealed the poster of its latest smartphone – the Realme Flash on its official Weibo handle where it also disclosed that Flash is Android’s first wireless magnetic charging phone. The poster from Realme for its new Flash smartphone shows a glowing ring-shaped design at the center of its back.
However, the release of the smartphone clarified that the glowing ring part was just a part of the concept of their wireless magnetic charging technology and there is no physical ring-shaped design on the rear of the phone.
Realme Flash Supports New Magnetic Charging Technology
During the Realme launch event that was live-streamed over their YouTube channel on August 3, Realme showcased Android’s first magnetic wireless technology with the specifically designed Realme Flash smartphone.
In the event, Realme took a lot of shots on Apple’s MagSafe from issues of misalignment to its design and charging speed. The interesting part of it all is that Realme is not in the wrong here and their MagDart technology seems superior to its Apple counterpart, at least on paper.
MagDart uses advanced Boron and Cobalt magnets to maintain the magnetic strength at the maximum level. These magnets provide a magnetic force of 5N that can hold objects weighing up to 0.5 kg which allows for a flawless alignment overall.

There were quite a few products and accessories that were announced during the event.
50W MagDart Charger | Fastest Magnetic Wireless Charging
Realme announced a high-power 50W magnetic charger, during the event, that provides fast battery charging, reaching 0 to 100% in only 54 minutes for the 4500 mAh battery of the Realme Flash smartphone. MagDart Charger’s adhesive force, lightweight, and compact size make it the best charging solution for an undisturbed and futuristic gaming experience.
Furthermore, the 50W MagDart wireless magnetic charger takes only about 5 minutes to reach a charge of 20% just like its wired counterpart, the Realme 50W SuperDart charger. The charging speed of the 50W MagDart charger has been even claimed to be 8 times faster and more efficient than the MagSafe.
15W MagDart Charger | Thinnest Magnetic Wireless Charging
In the event, Realme went in a full aggressive approach by targeting Apple’s MagSafe charging technology by quoting the massively popular brand as having extremely slow charging speed.
While the 15W MagSafe Charger takes about 4 hours to fully charge a mere 2775mAh battery of the iPhone 12, the 15W MagDart charger charges a full 4500mAh battery from 0 to 100% in only about 90 minutes.
Along with that, if we compare the thickness of two 15W magnetic chargers, Realme’s MagDart stands out to be 26.4% thinner than Apple’s MagSafe while sporting a thickness of 3.9 mm. All these advantages amount to Realme’s new wireless magnetic technology being a better version of the iPhone’s MagSafe.
MagDart Power Bank and its Base
The next product showcased in the event included a compact, supermini, and superlight wireless power bank that snaps on the back of your phone to start charging on the go.
Along with being a convenient and portable form of charging, the versatile MagDart power bank can even be used as decoration as it uses a high-quality Aluminium alloy frame combined with durable vegan leather on its charging module.
The event also featured a special charging base that can be easily paired together to form something like a vertical charging station. With this MagDart power bank base, you get a 2-in-1 seamless charging experience, implying that you can charge your phone directly on the stand while the base charges the Power bank as well.
Based on the wireless magnetic concept, Realme put forward a number of magnetic accessories discussed in the following subsections
MagDart Beauty Light
The MagDart Beauty Light is an innovative tool designed for portrait photography to provide strong and uniform light as compared to the normal flash on the phone. One of the best things about this product is that it connects to the phone via MagDart, and gets powered by reverse charging.
The beauty light features 60 mini LEDs arranged in a square shape to have a brighter and softer natural effect in the photos. It can even be flipped over to the front so as to get an additional uniform light source when taking selfies.
Whether you’re a photography enthusiast or a selfie lover, this product from Realme makes for the best lighting tool resulting in clear and brighter portrait photos.
While commuting or entering your office building, has it ever happened to you that you can’t seem to find your card to swipe? If you’ve been a fellow victim of the problem, Realme’s MagDart Wallet can be your best solution.
The MagDart Wallet simply snaps onto the back of the phone so that your important cards are always at hand and ready to use. The wallet comes with a 3-card pocket which simply translates to the wallet’s capacity of carrying and holding up to 3 standard credit cards.
While the stand is made of quality grade Aluminium alloy, the surface of the MagDart Wallet boasts high-quality vegan leather, making it a highly durable and compact everyday-use product.
For Realme GT users, the company showcased a specially designed MagDart charging case in the recent Realme event. While the GT doesn’t support wireless charging, the MagDart case enables the phone to be compatible with magnetic charging technology.
So, how does it exactly work? Well, the carbon fiber case (as inspired by racing cars) connects through a Type-C connector which enables the GT phone to be charged wirelessly with the MagDart module technology.
While providing the magnetic wireless charging feature, the Type-C port on the carbon bumper case also supports the same basic functions such as data transfer and wired charging just like with the Realme GT’s Type-C port.
Now, it’s time, to sum up, the article on the new magnetic wireless technology from Realme. With the MagDart technology, Realme has really come up with a futuristic approach bringing an innovative change to wireless charging as well as providing a solution to the issue of attaching physical peripherals to the device.
