Pierre’s 18 Game Winning Streak Snapped in Yankton – Today’s KCCR 1240-AM – Pierre, South Dakota



For the first time since October 12, 2018, the Pierre Governor Football team lost, as the Yankton Bucks shutout the Governor offense in the second half on their way to a 52-29 win over the Governors.

Pierre committed five turnovers in the game with four interceptions and a fumble along with a botched punt allowed the Bucks to have short field position as well as a pick six in the game. Maguire Raske had 97 yards on the ground on 21 attempts and two touchdowns while Lincoln Kienholz went 17-39 for 250 yards, two touchdowns and four picks. Zach Letellier had a school record 222 yards receiving and a touchdown for the Governors.
