Philadelphia private equity firm head Berkman buys Fisher Island condos for M

David Berkman, a private equity executive from Philadelphia, and his wife, Pamela Berkman, who is heavily involved in nonprofit organizations, paid $15.9 million for a pair of condo units in the new Palazzo Della Luna on Fisher Island.

PDS Development, managed by developer Heinrich von Hanau, sold Unit 6813 for $8.9 million and Unit 6826 for $7 million to the Berkmans. They measure a combined 7,960 square feet, with eight bedrooms, eight bathrooms and two half-bathrooms. The price equated to $1,997…
