The Pittsburgh Penguins have activated Sidney Crosby from the COVID-19 protocol absence list and recalled forwards Anthony Angello and Josh Currie from the taxi squad, general manager Ron Hextall said Thursday.Crosby was placed on the NHL’s COVID-19 protocol list on Tuesday. He will now be able to play in Thursday night’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers. The team also said assistant coach Todd Reirden has passed the COVID-19 protocol and is cleared to return to his regular duties Thursday night at PPG Paints Arena.
