>> NOW, YOUR WLKY WEATHER WITH METEOROLOGIST CHRIS JOHNSON. CHRIS: A LITTLE BIT OF SUNSHINE TRYING TO POP UP HERE IN THERE, BUT THE CLOUD COVER WINNING OUT FOR MUCH OF TODAY. A FEW OF THOSE SHOWERS AND STORMS THAT WE HAVE HAD, BUT TEMPERATURE WISE WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO REBOUND. LOUISVILLE IN THE LOWER 80’S. IN THE SOUTH AND EAST WHERE WE HAVE HAD BETTER RAIN CHANCES, NOT AS WARM. MID TO UPPER 70’S ACROSS THOSE LOCATIONS. MANY SPOTS, UPPER 70’S AND LOWER 80’S. IT WAS A LITTLE WARMER OUT THERE, AND CERTAINLY MUGGY. YOU CAN FEEL IT, BUT CHANGES ARE COMING OUR WAY. THE DOPPLER SHOWS WE ARE NICE AND DRY. ANY RAIN WE ARE SEEING AS WELL TO THE EAST ACROSS PORTIONS OF EASTERN AND SOUTHEASTERN KENTUCKY. AS FAR AS THIS EVENING IS CONCERNED, IT LOOKS REALLY GOOD. 80 AT 7:00, TO LOWER 70’S BY 8:00 P.M.. THE SKIES GRADUALLY CLEAR OUT TO THIS EVENING AND INTO TONIGHT. THE REASON BEING THE COLD FRONT IS PUSHING OFF TOWARD THE EAST. HIGH-PRESSURE BEGINNING TO BUILD IN FROM THE NORTHWEST, AND THAT WILL DRIVE IN THE LESS HUMID, MORE PLEASANT AIR MASS THAT SETS UP SHOP AS WE GET INTO THE NEXT COUPLE DAYS. FUTURECAST, YOU CAN SEE THE CLOUD DECK BEGINNING TO BREAK AS WE HEAD DEEPER INTO THIS EVENING. TONIGHT, THOSE MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES WILL WIN OUT AND WE WILL BE ON THE CLEAR SIDE. TEMPERATURES DROPPING TO THE MID TO LOW 60’S, SETTING UP FOR A COOLER START TO THE DAY. LOTS OF SUNSHINE BREAKING OUT. HIGH TEMPERATURES REACHING THE UPPER 70’S AND LOW 80’S IN MANY SPOTS. A BEAUTIFUL STRETCH OF WEATHER STARTING TOMORROW. IT CONTINUES INTO TUESDAY UNDER THOSE MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES. LOWER 80’S. WARMER AS WE GET INTO MIDWAY, BUT SOME CLOUD COVER BEGINS TO BUILD IN. HERE COMES THE CHANCE FOR AN ISOLATED SHOWER OR TWO. SPEAKING OF THE TROPICS, IT IS GETTING BUSY ONCE AGAIN. WE LOOK WELL TO THE SOUTH AND SOUTHEAST. HERE IS TROPICAL STORM SALLY, RIGHT NOW WITH WINDS AT 60 MILES PER HOUR. THE CENTER OF CIRCULATION A BIT DISCOMBOBULATED, BUT EXPECT IT TO STRENGTHEN AND ORGANIZE BETTER AS IT TRACKS TO THE NORTH AND WEST AT ABOUT NINE MILES PER HOUR OVER THE NEXT 24 HOURS. IN DOING SO, IT BECOMES A CATEGORY ONE HURRICANE BEFORE MAKING LANDFALL. THAT WILL WORK TOWARD THE NORTH AND EAST AS WE GET INTO MID WEEK. NOTICE WHAT HAPPENS. THAT COULD BRING THE POTENTIAL FOR A LITTLE BIT OF TROPICAL MOISTURE OUR WAY. THAT COULD WORK AND — WORK HAND IN HAND WITH A PASSING COLD FRONT, SO THAT COULD BRING SHOWERS AND POSSIBLE STORMS WEDNESDAY, ESPECIALLY INTO THURSDAY. THE COLD FRONT MOVES THROUGH AND WE COULD POTENTIALLY COOL THINGS OFTEN TO NEXT WEEKEND. FORECAST FOR TONIGHT, CLEARING SKIES, DROPPING TO 64 DEGREES. TOMORROW, BEAUTIFUL DAY. LOTS OF SUNSHINE. MORE OF THE SAME FOR TUESDAY. RAIN CHANCES SHOWING UP WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. FRIDAY, SATURDAY, SUNDAY INTO NEXT WEEKEND, WE ARE TALKING POTENTIAL HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE MID TO UPPER 70’S. OVERNIGHT LOWS, LOWER TO MID 50’S. THIS IS A TRUE TASTE OF SOME FALL AIR NEXT WEEKEND. FALL LOVERS, REJOICE. DREW: THAT
