Newcastle United have confirmed that both Allan Saint-Maximin and Miguel Almiron will be out until April due to the injuries they picked up in our 1-1 draw against Wolves on Saturday. Here is a tweet from Newcastle, who also add that Emil Krafth will return to training later this week.

This update means Allan and Miguel will miss at least these next three matches: West Brom (A), Aston Villa, Brighton (A). While this is not as bad as it could have been, it’s still a massive blow to be without our three best attacking players, including Callum Wilson, for these three crucial fixtures.
The update is also unclear as to exactly how deep into April the duo will be missing. After the Brighton match, there’s a two-week international break before our match at home to Tottenham on April 3rd. It’s then away to Burnley one week later.
As Bruce has stated with Wilson, there’s likely no set timetable for either Almiron or Saint-Maximin. Hopefully, Wilson will be available by the start of next month as he progresses with his hamstring injury.
Newcastle now need players to step up to fill the massive void left by these injuries. We could be in the bottom three by the time the West Brom match kicks off on Sunday. So it’s time for some fringe players to get their chance and for them to take it.
