Complete Location-Wise New York Mysteries 4 Walkthrough Guide
The first task in the New York Mysteries 4 Walkthrough, as soon as you wake up in the room, is to go outside. And the first puzzle you face in New York Mysteries: The Outbreak is the mask puzzle. Don’t worry; you’ll need to wander before you can collect items to complete this puzzle. Just follow my steps.
Location 1: The Room
Task: Go Outside
The first step in the New York Mysteries 4 Walkthrough is to go outside but remember that you need to collect some important items from the room before you get out. You see many interesting items, including a Ballerina music box on a stool. It has bolts that need to be unscrewed using the screwdriver.
Items to collect in the Room:
- A key
- Pliers
- Hanger
- Your Ring
You can collect the key from the middle drawer of the table and the pliers from the bottom drawer. Funnily enough, the key does not open the door, but it opens the locked closet in which you can find an empty hanger.
You can now use these pliers to cut the hanger and get a thin metal tube that can unlock the door for you. You unlock the door with the thin tube and find yourself in an abandoned amusement park
Location 2: The Amusement Park
For the second step in the New York Mysteries 4 Walkthrough, you need to return to the city, but it’s not that easy. Luckily you’ll find a few puzzle pieces you need just as soon as you enter the park.
Items to collect from the Park:
- Masks
- Puzzle Piece
Click on the coat hanging on the carousel and empty its pocket to find 1 of five masks and 1 of five puzzle pieces. There’s also a bag locked with a numeric code that you need to find. (SPOILER: The code is 413, and on unlocking the bag, you’ll find a car key.)
On your right, you see a booth with a locked door. The broken horse lying on the ground has a key that we’re unable to retrieve yet, so move to the next step.
Location 3: Lake Side
Click on the fir free on the right to go to the park lake’s tunnel. On entering, you’ll hear a voice asking for your help. You will also find some pamphlets lying on the wooden floorboard and a mask underneath it. You can’t retrieve the mask yet.
Click on the swan boat to see a bag covered with a cloth. You can find a crochet hook and a flashlight in the bag. Collect them and use the crochet hook to retrieve the mask (2/5) from underneath the floorboard.
So click on the next set of pamphlets near the lake to find a magnet. You can now use this magnet to retrieve the key from the broken horse. So, return to the carousel and use the magnet to extract the key, and unlock the locked booth door.
On entering the booth, click on the cap to find another game piece(2/5) and an unusual puzzle with metallic balls. You need to bring the silver metallic ball to the green spot to complete this puzzle.
Once you complete the puzzle, open the booth again and collect the fish and hook from the collection of hooks. Once done, simply click on the gate on your left to exit the park and enter the parking lot.
Location 3: Parking Lot
On entering the parking area, you’ll find an abandoned car, among other things. This is a really important part of the New York Mysteries 4 Walkthrough, as it will help you find important items for progress.
Head inside the car and click on the sun visor and driver’s seat to collect 2 more game pieces(4/5). Click on the spot beside the car to collect the final piece of the game puzzle, as shown in the circled area below:
Now, use the collected car key to power the car’s engine to open the car’s trunk. Inside the trunk, you’ll find a box with a wrench on top; collect it. Open the box to finally find the game puzzle. To solve the puzzle, put the pieces inside the puzzle and put the colored pieces in the respective colored spots. The puzzles’ difficulty progresses as you complete them.
On completing all 3 puzzles, you open the box to find the handle of the car’s glove compartment. Open the glove compartment with the handle to retrieve the third mask (3/5.)
Next, click on the rustic container that’s circled in the image above and use your wrench to unscrew the bolts. On opening it, you’ll find a screwdriver; retrieve it.
Now, head back to the room at the start of the game.
Location 1: Back to the Room
Use the collected screwdriver to unscrew the bolts on the music box on the stool. You will find a battery in it that you need to collect. Use this to replace the used battery in the flashlight that you have.
Location 3: Lake Side
After recollecting the flashlight, return to the lakeside and tap on the swan’s head. There, use the Hook-and-Loop to fix the swan’s head which will take you further in the game to the next location.
Location 4: Dark Room
The swan carries you to a dark room with hidden objects that you need to find. But since the room is completely dark, you need to find the circuit box to power the room. Use your flashlight in the bottom right corner of the dark room to locate the circuit box.
Click on the circuit box and collect the rubber gloves and power breaker and open the circuit box. Since the wires are broken, you need to repair them using rubber gloves. Wearing the gloves will show the broken wires that you need to repair.
Join the wires and use the power breaker to turn on the lights in the room. In this room, you need to locate and collect hidden items. Use the indicators in the image below to find objects in the order you need to.
- Pick the hook from 1.
- Use the hook to collect the bucket in 2.
- Use the bucket to scoop sand in 3.
- Use sand to extinguish the fire, as shown below.
- Collect keys and stones.
Next, head to point 4 and use the stones you collected there to stop the mechanism. Now head back to point 3 with the key and unlock the lock above the lid. Once you unlock, collect the pole hook hanging there and use it to open the container at point 5 and retrieve the broken bottle.
Once you pick up the broken bottle from your inventory, you’ll be transported back to help the stranger to complete the New York Mysteries 4 Walkthrough.
