FIREFIGHTERS SAY A NEIGHBOR JUMPED INTO ACTION THIS MORNING TO RESCUE A PERSON FROM A BURNING HOME. THE FIRE STARTED AROUND 9:30 AT A HOME ON LOU AL LANE. WE’RE TOLD THE VICTIM WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL BUT AT THIS TIME THERE IS NO WORD ON THE PERSON’S CONDITIO

A Salem resident rescued a neighbor from a burning home this morning, fire officials said.Officials said the fire started at about 9:30 a.m. in a home on Lou-Al Lane. The resident who was rescued from the home was taken to a hospital. There was no word on the person’s condition.The cause of the fire is under investigation.
