MOH preliminary confirms 30 new cases of COVID-19; Total tally at 58,629 – The Online Citizen Asia

As of Friday (1 January), 12 pm, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminary confirmed 30 new cases of COVID-19 infection.

This brings the total number of infection cases to 58,629.

There are three cases in the community, and there are no new cases in the dormitories.

One of them is a family member of the PSA Marine harbour pilot whose infection was confirmed in 31 December.

Another two cases are the close contact of the marine surveyor at Lloyd’s Register Singapore and the 14-year-old Raffles Girls’ School student.

In addition, there are 27 imported cases, who had already been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arrival in Singapore. Amongst them, 5 are Singaporeans or Singapore Permanent Residents, and 14 are foreign domestic workers.
