A man exiting a Westminster convenience store on New Year’s Eve was fatally stabbed and police are looking for the killers, authorities said in a news release.
Police received a 911 call around 6:21 p.m. Thursday of a report of a man, possibly in his early 20s, having been stabbed as he left a Circle K in the 7500 block of Sheridan Boulevard.
Witnesses told police that the man was confronted by a male and then a second. During the confrontation, the victim was stabbed and the suspects fled from the store in a vehicle. The victim was transported to a hospital but did not survive, police said.
Police believe the killing may be gang related but their investigation is ongoing. If anyone has information, they are asked to call the Westminster Police Department at 303-658-4360.
