Little Mix celebrate Jesy Nelson’s last months in band in moving video tribute

Little Mix have celebrated their final months with Jesy Nelson in the band with a moving video tribute.

The girlband took to Instagram to reflect on some of their highlights of 2020 which inevitably included moments with Jesy, who announced her departure earlier this month.

The video reel showcased the X Factor winning group preparing to release their sixth studio album Confetti alongside clips from recent music videos and TV appearances – as well as some more intimate performances from lockdown.

Leigh-Anne Pinnock’s engagement to footballer Andre Gray was also included as well as the band launching their reality TV show The Search.

Perrie, Jade and Leigh-Anne have vowed to continue on as a trio



The band shared a highlight of them performing Sweet Melody on the Jonathan Ross show

The final clips of the highlights reel showed Little Mix performing as a trio after Jesy announced she was taking an ‘extended break for private medical reasons.’

Following the news, Leigh-Anne, Jade and Perrie continued on as a trio to host MTV’s European Music Awards and appearing on The Jonathan Ross Show.

As they shared their video montage to social media, the girls penned a message to the fans who have supported them through such troubled times.

“Thank you to everyone who’s supported us this year, we love you all x ❤️❤️❤️” the trio said in the caption.

Leigh-Anne and Andre Gray got engaged this year

Jesy announced she had left Little Mix in a statement this month, saying her time in the band had taken a toll on her mental health.

She explained: “I find the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard.”

The 29-year-old said being in the band – who shot to fame on The X Factor in 2010 – had been “the most incredible time” but it was now time to “embark on a new chapter”.



Little Mix launched The Search alongside Jesy – who later pulled out of the final show

Jesy’s fellow bandmates confirmed they were “still very much enjoying our Little Mix journey” and would continue as a trio.

“We know that Jesy leaving the group is going to be really upsetting news for our fans.

“We love her very much and agree that it is so important that she does what is right for her mental health and well-being,” they shared.



Jesy returned to social media after a brief break

After stepping away form the limelight, Jesy returned to social media this weekend to share a topless selfie.

She shared a make-up free snap of her posing in bed as she asked in the caption: “Just woke up wbu ?”

The post has since clocked up almost one million likes on the photo-sharing site with Jesy’s fans rushing to show their support.
