Kraigg Brathwaite has been appointed the new Test Captain of West Indies replacing Jason Holder.

Brathwaite becomes the 37th Test Captain of the West Indies. He recently led the Windies to a 2-0 Test Series win over Bangladesh on away soil while deputizing in the absence of Holder.

He will lead the West Indies against Sri Lanka in a 2-test series beginning March 21.

Jason Holder, 29, took over the captaincy in 2015. Since then he has captained the West Indies in 37 Test with 11 wins, five draws, and 21 defeats.

He is the number one all-rounder in Test with a rating score of 407.

Jason has so far pledged his support to the new Test Captain.
