Kevin Campbell says he is ‘almost sure’ Hector Bellerin will leave Arsenal in the summer transfer window.

The 26-year-old joined the Gunners from Barcelona’s La Masia academy back in 2011 and after Mesut Ozil’s departure in January, became the club’s longest-serving player within the current squad.

Bellerin is a first-team regular but over recent months has seen his minutes limited, with the likes of Cedric and Calum Chambers both featuring at right-back.

While Bellerin has started in all of Arsenal’s last four knockout games in the Europa League, his last appearance in the Premier League was in the 1-0 defeat to Manchester City back in February.

The Spaniard attracted interest from Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain last summer and reports claim that Arteta will allow the full-back to leave in the next transfer window.

And former Gunners striker Campbell believes this season will be Bellerin’s last at the Emirates.

‘I am almost sure that Hector Bellerin will be leaving the football club at the end of the season,’ Campbell told Football Insider.

‘Mikel Arteta is in the process of a rebuild and will Bellerin hang around for it? I don’t think so.’

The Gunners host Slavia Prague on Thursday for the first leg of their crunch Europa League quarter-final, which Campbell feels Bellerin may start in.

‘Will he play before the end of the season? Yes, he will. I think he might get a few starts in Europe and that could start tonight.

‘This is the business end of the season and we are in desperate need of a result against Slavia Prague.’

When discussing the club’s summer plans last month, Arteta admitted the amount of transfers need to be made is at at ‘unprecedented’ level.

‘We are planning what’s going to happen in the summer,’ the Gunners boss said.

‘It will depend on where we finish, how we finish.

‘I think what we have to do in the summer is unprecedented for a club of this stature.

‘To do the amount of transactions that we have to make it tells you as well where we are.

‘I think it was very much needed and you want to improve, you want to do that.’
