India could not have asked for a worse start than the one that they endured in Adelaide. Amid their forgettable defeat within three days at the Adelaide Oval against Australia, fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah had probably his youngest fan in the stands on day two. The young fan, named Jiyan, kept shouting Jasprit Bumrah’s name at the top of its voice. To top it off, Jiyan also got a little reaction from the speedster as he was leaving the premises.
Jiyan’s video began doing rounds over social media and what caught people’s attention was he was not able to pronounce Jasprit Bumrah’s name in his toddler ways clearly. But he might have never thought he would be privileged enough to meet his hero soon enough. Bharat Army’s official Twitter handle came up with videos, which depicted the reaction of Jasprit Bumrah to Jiyan and how he cheered for the 27-year old from his seat.

Jasprit Bumrah took two wickets in India’s defeat to Australia:
Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah could not deliver a game-changing performance in Adelaide; however, his effort of two wickets in the first innings did not go unnoticed. The right-arm pacer kept the Australian batsmen on their toes and took the scalps of Joe Burns and Matthew Wade. He could also have had Marnus Labuschagne when he was on 26 had Prithvi Shaw not dropped him.
India held the upper hand at the end of the second day after they gained a lead of 53 runs, bowling them out for 191 in response to their first innings total of 244. However, it all came plummeting down in the second innings on the third day when Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood ran through the visitors’ batting line-up, bundling out India for 36 – their lowest Test total. Australia chased the target of 90 with eight wickets to spare.
