On Sunday, security forces arrested four Jaish-e-Mohammed militants, including fugitive jawans of the police, from Budgam district. Weapons have also been recovered from them. A police spokesperson said that on the basis of information, security forces laid siege in Hyattpora area. During the search, a vehicle tried to escape by breaking the siege, but was stopped by security forces.

The occupants resisted, but they were interrogated. During interrogation, it was found that Altaf Hussain, a fugitive SPO was also involved, who has become a terrorist. The others were identified as Shabbir Ahmed Bhat, Jamshid Magre and Zahid Dar of Pulwama. Altaf escaped earlier this year with two AK-47 rifles.

Another SPO Jahangir who had fled with him has already been arrested. During interrogation, it was found that the group was trying to carry out terrorist activities in the area. The police have registered a case and started investigation.
