In his first tweet about the name, he posted a picture of a black silicon case with the iPhone 14 Plus name printed on it. Then his tweets developed. There is a picture collage of product listings that also displays iPhone 14 Plus instead of iPhone 14 Max.

Though the leaked name, iPhone 14 Plus, seems to be authentic, I cannot give my verdict about it. We live in a time where things cannot be declared true or fake until they are visible physically. The photographs uploaded over the internet could have been morphed.
Apple has used Plus first time for one of the iPhones of the iPhone 6 series back in 2014. The name was last used for iPhone 8 Plus in 2017. Now after a gap of 5 years, iPhone is expected to release the iPhone 14 Plus in the upcoming Apple Event which will be held on September 7th, 2022.
My Personal Review on iPhone 14 Plus Name Leak
As for Apple, I have no idea whether it will continue to use Pro, Max, and Pro Max to follow its more established trend since iPhone XS Max, or whether it will reintroduce the Plus tag after 2017. However, just 5 days later we may have the name and other specifications confirmed from Apple itself.
