Glasgow driver taken to hospital after early-morning M8 crash

A man was taken to hospital on Christmas Day after a single car crash on the M8 motorway in Glasgow.

The accident occurred around 7:25am yesterday morning on the M8 eastbound near Junction 18 in the Anderston/ Charing Cross area.

It saw one lane of the motorway closed off to traffic for around an hour as the damaged vehicle was recovered.

Police and emergency services attended and the driver of the vehicle in question was taken to hospital as a precaution.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We were made aware of a crash involving a single car on the M8 eastbound near junction 18 around 7.25am on Friday, 25 December.

“One man was taken to hospital as a precaution and the vehicle was recovered.”
