The American Sitcom Friends needs no introduction! The show’s first episode aired in 1994 and instantly became a fan favorite. It had such a huge impact on everyone. Over a course of 10 years, the show celebrated many festivals. We see Friends celebrating Valentine’s, Thanksgiving, Halloween, and so many other festivals. However, do we ever see them celebrating Easter? Are there any FRIENDS Easter episodes?
Friends was a cult show. Let me correct myself here. Friends is a cult show! It was released in an era when there were no mobile phones or internet. The writing of the show transcends time and now, the show is being discovered by more people than ever! So, let me help you discover the Friends Easter episodes!
Easter is around the corner. If you don’t have any plans, trust me you can binge on Friends! This show never goes wrong. This show has everything. From the best writing to the best characters! There is no single episode that is dull. So if you have never watched Friends, you are missing out on a lot! Why don’t we start now, and let me tell you some of the Friends Easter episodes!
The Best of Friends Easter Episode!
The show Friends ran for a period of 10 years. We have seen the characters on the show celebrate so many festivals together. The Friends characters were majorly seen celebrating Thanksgiving. It is a major festival celebrated in almost all seasons.
However, it may come as shock to you that over a period of 10 years, the show has never aired any Easter Episode. Yes!… Not a Single Easter Episode!
There are, however, some episodes where we see a reference to Easter. These references are so subtle that many are bound to miss them. Let me tell you some of the Friends Easter Episodes, or you can say, Friends episodes with a hint of Easter in them!
1. The One With The Holiday Armadillo | Season 7, Episode 10
I know, I know…this is not an Easter episode! However, what you would have missed is probably two subtle Easter references in this Episode. This is one of Friends’ best Christmas episodes.
This Christmas, Ross wants to teach his son, Ben about their Jewish heritage. He is concerned that Ben will only be exposed to Christian traditions and forget about his roots. Ross decides to dress up as an Armadillo when he could not arrange a Santa costume. In this way, he thinks he would be able to teach Ben about Hanukkah.
What follows next is a series of fun and weird events. From Chandler dressed as Santa and taking away all the attention to Joey dressed as Superman. There is too much chaos! However, everything ends well and Ross tells Ben the story of Hanukkah. Everyone then gets up to light the Hanukkah candles.
This is when Pheobe and Rachel enter. Rachel remarks, “ Wow, it looks like the Easter Bunny’s funeral in here.”
To this Pheobe replies, “I understand why Superman is here, but why is there a porcupine at the Easter Bunny’s funeral?”
2. The One With The Halloween Party | Season 8, Episode 6
All of the Friends’ Halloween episodes are crazy fun but this one steals the show. It would be an understatement to call it one of the Friends’ Best Halloween episodes.
This Halloween, Monica, and Chandler decide to throw a costume party. Everyone comes dressed as different characters. Monica is Catwoman, Phoebe is Supegirl. Rachel dresses as “a woman who spent a lot of money on a dress and wants to wear it because she soon won’t be able to fit into it.” Ross is dressed as “Spud-nik.”
What fascinates us the most is Chandler’s costume. He is dressed as a pink rabbit because Monica couldn’t find the costume of the Velveteen Rabbit. I know..not all rabbits are Easter bunnies! But, Hey!.. Now instead of the Velveteen Rabbit (that is brown and white in color), he looks more like an Easter bunny!
Friends is not just a show. It is an emotion. If you have not watched Friends ever, you can start from any episode. There is no such thing as a single episode that will make you fall in love with this show. All of the episodes are crazily funny and you will love them!
This Easter, spend time with your loved ones and binge-watch Friends easter episodes together! Do let me know which episode is your favorite in the comments!
