The only part that shakes my head hard is the multitude of characters throughout the game of Five Nights at Freddy’s. No one could keep track of them, not even me, until I came up with this exclusive list of all FNAF characters.

Five Nights at Freddy’s characters from Exposure-dumping sequences and the multitude of YouTube theories make it troublesome to keep track of a list of characters. There are just tons of FNAF characters’ names to know and too little time to learn them all.

1. FREDDY FAZBEAR
Freddy is the mascot of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. He’s an animatronic bear who appeared multiple times in FNAF. He was one of the initial animatronics when Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza launched in 1983. However, he fell into ruin after a youngster was injured in 1987 (the ‘bite of ’87) becoming Withered Freddy. Toy Freddy replaced Withered Freddy at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza in November 1987. Since then, he’s appeared in several incarnations as FNAF characters as mentioned below.

2. BONNIE
Bonnie is known as an animatronic rabbit. It is one of Freddy Fazbear’s early animatronics and his band’s guitarist. Like Freddy, he debuted in 1983 but was replaced by Toy Bonnie in 1987. Most of us know Spring Bonnie resembles Bonnie. However, due to his importance in the game and his many varieties, we’ve given Springtrap his own area. Throughout the series, he’s appeared in different incarnations as FNAF characters as mentioned below:

3. CHICA
Chica is one of the odd scary ones among all FNAF characters. This scary animatronic chicken originally appeared in 1983 at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. She’s Freddy’s backup vocalist and often wears a bib and holds a cake. She just like the FNAF Fazbear too fell into despair and became a Withered Chica. FNAF Chica was replaced by Toy Chica. Since then, she’s made countless appearances as FNAF characters as mentioned below.

4. FOXY AND MANGLE
Foxy is one of the unique animatronic that is definitely one of the scary FNAF characters from the original game. This FNAF character appears a bit damaged from the start with a few of its endoskeleton clearly visible. What is more interesting is his hand which resembles a hook. He’s not in the original lineup like Freddy, Chica, and Bonnie. Instead, he performs on a different stage known as the “Kid’s Cove”. He became Withered Foxy after the Bite of ’87, where he was replaced by Mangle instead of a typical toy version.
Mangle is a heavily wounded and damaged fox animatronic that is considered one of the scary FNAF characters. It was redesigned by the developers as Foxy’s look was too threatening. Mangle was pulled apart so often by children at Kid’s Cove that workers stopped trying to put it back together, leading to its damaged and disfigured look.

5. SPRINGTRAP
Bonnie is one of the FNAF characters that first appeared as the golden animatronic rabbit in FNAF 3’s night five minigame. Later in the series, he becomes Springtrap, an autonomous entity inhabited by William Afton. Springtrap is a decaying and withered spring Bonnie suit where William Afton’s initial body died, trapping his spirit. He’s the main adversary and only corporeal animatronic in FNAF 3 and later in the series.

Did you think this was it? Of course not! There are heaps and heaps of more FNAF characters besides the FNAF animatronics that one will find while playing this mysterious game. Each of these scary FNAF characters has its own distinct function in the series. Most of them have had a huge impact on the lore and gameplay, so we couldn’t just leave them behind.

1. WILLIAM AFTON
William Afton co-founded Fazbear and Afton Robotics. He’s the primary antagonist of the FNAF series, playing a serial murderer who murdered 12 children. He’s the most nasty and evil FNAF characters that brought down his firm by harming strangers, friends, and family.
His appearances in the series’ vintage segments hint at his background and killings. He may also revive in numerous ways after dying. He has the aforementioned Springtrap variants.
2. MICHAEL AFTON
Michael Afton, also known as Mike Schmidt and Eggs Benedict, is the FNAF protagonist character. He’s William Afton’s son and Elizabeth Afton’s older brother, and either Crying Child’s sibling or Crying Child himself. The animatronics mistake Michael Afton for his father in the first FNAF game. Like the FNAF characters of his family, much of the knowledge about his personality and life comes from antiquated minigames, while the Survival Logbook has hints about his interest for painting.
Michael Afton cheats death like his father and becomes Ennard’s human host. His main purpose is to find his father, however it’s unclear if he plans to murder him.
3. ELIZABETH AFTON
Elizabeth Afton is the daughter of William Afton and younger sister of Michael Afton. She loved her father and adored all of his creations until she disobeyed his order to keep away from the Circus Baby animatronic, resulting to her death. Circus Baby became cold, vicious, and brutal once Elizabeth Afton’s spirit seized her. She was definitely one of the interesting FNAF Characters of the game.
4. HENRY EMILY
Henry Emily, known as the Cassette Man in Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulator, was William Afton’s old associate who helped construct the initial animatronics. It is Henry Emily who urges the animatronics to free their souls, sentences William Afton to damnation, and fires down the building. He is one of the crucial FNAF characters that is also responsible for destroying the animatronics, including the one William Afton, Michael, and he had. Before dying, he apologizes for not saving Charlotte Emily and asks her to relax.
5. CHARLOTTE EMILY
This is yet one of the intriguing FNAF characters. She was Henry Emily’s daughter and was often known as Charlie. Charlotte was the first child that was killed by William Afton. She later possessed the Puppet.
6. CRYING CHILD
The Crying Child is William Afton’s shy, an innocent youngster who is bullied by his bigger brother, Michael Afton. He’s the primary protagonist of FNAF 4: End-of-night mini-games and the victim of ‘the bite of ’83,’. This FNAF character might probably be the reason the original Freddy Fazbear Diner was closed and rebranded as Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzaria. This is one of the reason that makes crying child one of the prominent FNAF Characters of the game. After the incident of ‘83, he seized the Golden Freddy animatronic (either alone or alongside Cassidy, one of the other missing children).
7. VANNY
Vanny was initially shown as the main protagonist of the minigame: FNAF help wanted. However later, she becomes one of the FNAF characters that was corrupted by GlitchTrap and became its follower. She appears to be human in a patchwork rabbit suit. She’s first unsure about killing but becomes vicious on further corruption.

That concludes it all. The FNAF Characters always keep me on the edge and make the game so much more interesting. Five Nights at Freddy’s is an awesome game, and so are the FNAF characters. Personally, I think all FNAF characters are scary as hell no matter which one you look at and talk about.
