How to Find the Missing Shipment in Baldurs Gate 3?
To find the missing shipment in Baldur’s Gate 3 and progress in the game, follow the steps below:
- Go to the Cave North of the Risen Road
- Fight the Gnolls
- Rescue Rugan and Olly
- Talk to Rugan & collect the missing shipment
1. Go to the Cave North of the Risen Road
To find the missing shipment in Baldur’s Gate 3, you can either go straight to the cave on the northern area of the Risen Road where the Gnolls are gathered up or pick up the Shipment Orders note from one of the dead caravan crew members to the south.
2. Fight the Gnolls
Once you go to the cave on the Risen Road, it’s time to defeat the gnolls.
To defeat the gnolls and rescue the trapped people, position your characters in nearby high places. You can also use the tadpole’s psionic power to control the gnoll warlord and make her fight her own pack or even harm herself after the battle.
3. Rescue Rugan and Olly
If you enter the cave from the opposite side, you can let the caravan survivors escape while you face the gnolls alone. Once you save Rugan and Olly, they will thank you and give you the password to their hiding place (little serpent, long shadow.)

When talking to Rugan, pay close attention to the dialogue because that’s how you will find the missing shipment in Baldur’s Gate 3. Select “It’s not hospitality I want – it’s coin.“
When you select “Whatever your cargo is, I’ll take it as payment,” Rugan will give you another chance to walk away.

If you opened the shipment before returning it to Zarys, the whole Zhentarim hideout will become hostile to you, and you’ll have to fight your way out.
One favorable aspect is that they won’t resist much. Also, you can easily get EXP and gold through farming.
3. Deliver Unopened / Sealed Shipment
Once you successfully return the shipment to Zarys at the Zhentarim Hideout in Waukeen’s Rest, you’ll receive a well-deserved reward—a one-of-a-kind crossbow named Harold, boasting a +1 weapon enhancement.
As an added bonus, you’ll gain access to an upgraded selection of goods from the merchant located within the hideout.
