Ex-Titans OC Dowell Loggains joining Penn State coaching staff

Former Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains has landed himself a job with Penn State University.

According to multiple reports, Loggains, who spent the last two seasons as the New York Jets’ offensive coordinator under former head coach Adam Gase, is joining head coach James Franklin’s staff as an offensive analyst.

Loggains will replace Ty Howle, who was recently promoted to tight ends coach by the Nittany Lions.

Loggains was with the Titans from 2008 to 2013, serving as an offensive quality control coach (2008-09), quarterbacks coach (2010-11), and then offensive coordinator (2012-13).

Tennessee sported a 13-19 record during Loggains’ two seasons as offensive coordinator, with the offense ranking 23rd and 19th in points scored in that span.
