Dortmund’s Talent coach Otto Addo praises Bundesliga history-maker Youssoufa Moukoko

2006 FIFA World Cup Ghana midfielder Otto Addo has lavished praises on Cameroon-born German Bundesliga history-maker Youssoufa Moukoko after the teenager officially became the youngest player ever to play in the Bundesliga.

Moukoko, 16 years 1 day old, has toppled Nurin Sahin to become the Bundesliga’s youngest ever player after replacing Erling Haaland in Saturday’s 5-2 victory for Dortmund over Hertha Berlina.

Moukoko joined Dortmund from St Pauli in 2016 and has been working under various managers including Otto Addo who represented Ghana 15 times including playing at the 2006 FIFA World Cup finals in Germany.


Addo has been impressed by the performance of the Yaoundé born.

Moukoko, who scored 141 goals in 88 games for Dortmund’s junior sides, is expected to shine in the Bundesliga as the hype around him continue to gain more momentum.

Addo spent six seasons at Dortmund where he scored 11 goals in 75 appearances as a midfielder.
