Denver woman pleads guilty to distribution of heroin resulting in death

A 35-year-old Denver woman has pleaded guilty in federal court to distribution of heroin resulting in death.

Alicia Morelli entered the plea Tuesday before U.S. District Court Judge William J. Martinez. She was remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshal, according to a U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of Colorado, news release.

On June 19, 2019, police and emergency responders found a woman dead inside a Denver apartment, the release said. “A syringe, a spoon with liquid, and an amount of suspected heroin were located on the table next to where the woman was lying.”
