The BSF 168th Corps personnel posted in village Uchad of Mankot tehsil of Mendhar sub division of Poonch district were seriously injured after being shot under suspicious circumstances on Sunday afternoon. He was brought to sub-district hospital Mendhar. Where he was given first aid and was referred to the Northern Command Hospital Udhampur by army chopper. He has been identified as constable PK Das son Kalipada Das resident post office Nagerbira district Kamrup Assam.

In this regard BMO Dr Parvez Ahmed Khan says that BSF jawan PK Das was brought in critical condition. He had bullet wounds on his neck. A lot of blood was shed. He was breathing, on which the team of doctors gave first aid.

The reason behind the jawan’s injuries is not yet clear. Its correct address will be found only after investigation. On the other hand, there has been no statement from BSF about this incident so far. According to sources, this incident is being described as an attempt to commit suicide.
