Police searching for a missing man have found a body in a river.
Officers appealed for help to find Gerard Roy, 68, on Monday, March 8. He was thought to have been in the Bromsgrove area or Worcester.
But on Thursday, March 11 officers found a body in water. Mr Roy’s family has been informed, although the remains had yet to be identified. The death was not being treated as suspicious.
West Midlands Police tweeted said: “Officers searching for missing Gerard Roy have been made aware of a body being found in the river in Worcestershire.
” Formal identification is still to be carried out but his family have been informed. The death is not being treated as suspicious.”
