Aurora police investigating two child abduction attempts

Police in Aurora are investigating two reports of attempted child abductions.

At about 6 p.m. Tuesday, a 12-year-old boy was in Mission Viejo Park when a man “tried to grab” him, police said. The suspect is described as a bald man with a dark beard who possibly has tattoos on his arms.

At about 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 5, a white man wearing a black ski mask, red and black flannel shirt and jeans attempted to abduct a 10-year-old girl who was playing outside in the Summer Valley Ranch area, nearby Mission Viejo Park, according to police. The Jan. 5 incident happened near the intersection of South Richfield Street and South Quintero Way.
