Aston Villa have agreed a fee with Lyon to sign Betrand Traore, according to reports in France.
RCM Sport are reporting on Sunday that Dean Smith’s side have agreed a deal worth 19million euros (£17.5million) to bring the winger back to the Premier League.
They add that the Chelsea academy graduate will undergo a medical on Monday ahead of putting pen to paper on a three-year contract.
Villa’s interest in Traore emerged over the weekend with claims an opening bid of £15.5million was rejected by the Ligue 1 side.

The 25-year-old right-sided winger, who is also able to play upfront, started 14 games for Lyon last season and was used a further nine times from off the substitutes bench as he struggled to nudge out the likes of Memphis Depay and Moussa Dembele.
Traore recently spoke publicly about his frustrations over playing time, saying: “Now I have two years of contract left (June 2022). I am 25 years old, I have played everywhere I have been.
“If my situation in Lyon doesn’t change, I can’t stay on the bench all the time. I need to play. I have no time to waste, I’m no longer an 18, 19 or 20 year old player. We will see what will happen.”
The Burkina Faso international has scored 33 goals in 125 outings for Lyon since leaving Chelsea three years ago.
Premier League new boys Fulham as well as Newcastle United and Crystal Palace have also been linked but Villa look to have won the race.
Villa have snapped up striker Ollie Watkins and full-back Matty Cash so far this summer while goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez is closing in on a move from Arsenal.
