When and Where to Watch the Apple September Event?

Alternatively referred to as the California Streaming event, the upcoming 2021 Apple event is all set to premiere on September 14 at 1 PM ET (or 10 AM PT).

Just like the previous events, the California event will be a virtual one. And you can catch the live stream of the same on Apple’s official YouTube channel or on the Apple TV app.

But here’s the million-dollar question, What’s going to feature in the September installment of this year’s Apple events? Well, that’s what we’re going to cover in our next section.

Devices Set to Feature and Debut in Apple September Event

While this may not be a surprise to most Apple fans that the upcoming event will mainly feature around the debut of the new iPhone 13 lineup owing to the numerous leaks put out throughout the year.

In addition to the iPhone, there are more than likely chances of new gadgets including a new Apple Watch and upgraded AirPods being announced. Without further ado, let’s dive right into the devices that are expected to launch in Apple’s California Streaming.

> Apple iPhone 13

As with previous iPhones except for the Apple iPhone 12’s launch that was pushed to October last year due to the pandemic situation, all major iPhone launches have been released in September and this year seems to put that trend back on track.

Talking about the trend, this year’s iPhone series will likely follow with all the four default models including the 5.4” iPhone 13‌ mini, the 6.1” iPhone 13‌, the 6.1” ‌iPhone 13‌ Pro, and the 6.7” ‌iPhone 13‌ Pro Max featuring the rumored comeback of Touch ID

The upcoming iPhone 13 will feature substantial upgrades in both the software and hardware departments. From major improvements in the camera with the optical image stabilization for better autofocus, iPhone 13 will come equipped with 5G technology, LEO (Low Earth Orbit) satellite connectivity, and even a smaller notch design.

According to the tweet of the tipster named Dave Zatz, the launch of the iPhone 13 might be accompanied by an improved MagSafe charger.

Since Realme’s innovative and superior magnetic wireless technology “MagDart” was unveiled earlier in August 2021, the chances of an enhanced MagSafe technology seems plausible.

> New Apple Watch

Apart from the main focus device of this year’s iPhone flagship, a new Apple Watch will likely make its appearance in the September event.

While there may not have been as many rumors and leaks as with iPhone 13, the upcoming Apple Watch Series 7 is supposedly going to feature thinner edges for more display space along with a flat-edged design.

According to a Weibo rumor, there’ll be two sizes for the Apple Watch 7 including a 41mm and a 45mm size. These new sizes are unquestionably larger than the 40mm and 44mm sizes featured on Apple’s Watch 6 and Watch SE respectively.

Running on the WatchOS 8 with support for digital keys, Blood Pressure measurement, Mindfulness app, and more, the Apple Watch 7 series might be set to become the best wearable from Apple with the faster S7 processor along with better battery life.

However, the wearable gadget might get unveiled but there’s still some uncertainty as to when the new Apple Watch will be ready for shipping pertaining to the production difficulties faced by the Watch Series 7 manufacturers according to a report by 9to5Mac

> Apple AirPods 3

In addition to the new Apple wearable gadget, the third generation of the Apple AirPods is likely to be showcased in Apple’s September event.

With so many earbuds coming at competitive prices in the wireless earphone market like the Nothing Ear 1 Buds and the Beats Studio Buds, the announcement of AirPods 3 on the September 14th ‘California’ streaming event makes sense.

The launch of Apple AirPods 3 will likely make it among the best wireless headphones with features that might include spatial audio and support for Dolby Atmos for an exceptional cinematic experience.

However, there are some contradicting reports on whether the upcoming AirPods will come with flexible ear tips or lose the whole silicone eartips design. While AirPods 3 will quite possibly feature iOS 15 updates, the availability of ANC (Active Noise Cancelation) is still in the mix with multiple reports suggesting different likelihoods of ANC’s inclusion.

Possibility of More Fall Events?

There is a high chance that Apple will continue this year’s series of events with an October or November Apple Event. The focus of this installment of the event will be on the MacBooks and iPads.

Whereas the September event could hint towards the new iPad mini 6 featuring a full-screen iPad Pro design with significant performance improvements, the new MacBooks will surface in September after events in the following months.

With revamped silicon-powered M1X chips, the upcoming MacBooks are likely to come in two models including a 14” MacBook Pro 2021 and a 16” MacBook Pro 2021. But that’s all speculation for now. We’ll know the reality once the September event concludes.
