Amrit Mahotsava starts from today, Lieutenant Governor calls for the beginning of a new era

Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha said that it was because of people like Brigadier Rajinder Singh that it was successful to save the soul of Jammu and Kashmir from Pakistani intruders. On the eve of Independence’s Amrut Mahotsav, he has called for the support of every citizen of Jammu and Kashmir through public participation to usher in a new era of peace and development. The Amrit Mahotsav of Independence in Jammu and Kashmir is inaugurating on March 12 from the village of Brig Rajinder Singh at Baguna in Samba district and Maqbool Sherwani in North Kashmir.

He said that public participation is necessary for better administration and coordinated development. Our saints and freedom fighters had taken similar steps to create a new India which ensured people’s participation. It was in this spirit that work was done for sustainable and coordinated economic-social development so that prosperity could reach everyone. This is also the top priority of the Jammu and Kashmir administration. He said that more work will be done in future towards the prosperity of youth, more investment in education sector, strengthening women and girls in the society.

Sinha said that India always stands under the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam to serve the suffering humanity. In the Corona crisis, India has sent vaccines to many countries. After independence in 1947, the per capita income has increased six-fold in almost seven decades. Our culture is that before starting any festival visit the holy places. Under this, the tradition of paying homage to the ancestral village of martyr Brigadier Rajinder Singh will be followed before starting the Amrit Mahotsav.

Start up in Jammu and Kashmir with inspiration from Tilak
LG said that everyone remembers the contribution of freedom fighter Lokmanya Tilak. But there is also a fact that he always encouraged entrepreneurs and industrialists to start their own business. Today, he has already started what we call startup and self-reliant. He had created a fund in the name of Paisa Fund which would help the entrepreneurs and local factories of the village. Inspired by Tilak’s vision, Jammu and Kashmir has developed an ecosystem for startups in which 69 startups have been registered in just a few months.

Time to pledge to be responsible for development
LG said that the entire country is hopeful towards building a new India. The Amrit Festival of Independence will showcase the freedom struggle, a true tribute to the martyrs and the image of the creation of Sanatan Bharat and modern India. Today again the time has come that all should take oath of duty towards the nation, whose dream was laid by the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi and the Constituent Creator Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. It is time to take an oath to make yourself responsible for the development of Jammu and Kashmir and the nation.

Milestone towards realizing the dreams of the ancestors
The Deputy Governor said that the resolution to maintain harmony will be displayed in this 75-week program. Sarva Dharma Sambhav, freedom, democracy and duties will also be displayed so that steps can be taken towards the creation of a new India in accordance with the dreams of its ancestors. It is believed that under these feelings, we will prove a milestone in realizing the dreams of the ancestors.
